Champion Hurdle

The 2010 Champion Hurdle will be run on the first day of the Cheltenham Festival. It is lining up to be one of the most hotly contested races in recent history of the Champion Hurdle. Last year the race was won by the Nicky Henderson trained Punjabi, who is currently a 10/1 shot to claim a second victory in a row.

Zaynar is currently the favourite with most bookmakers for the Champion Hurdle. The horse is currently unbeaten over hurdles and heads the market along with Khyber Kim who comprehensively defeated Paul Nichols’ Celestial Halo. Other contenders in this year’s Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham include Solwhit, as well as our top pick Go Native.

The Champion Hurdle is run over a distance of 2 miles and 110 yards, with 8 hurdles to be jumped.
